Hi all,

I am trying to plot latitude and longitude points in the Adirondack Mountains, but the coordinates keep posting either in Africa or Ecuador... I have them in two separate columns on excel. I've tried changing the negatives for both and nothing has worked. I've also tried it in WGS and NAD83 (Zone 18). Any suggestions? I have attached the excel spreadsheet with a few decimal points

Its looks like the problem is that the latitude and longitude values were both positive so the points will plot off to the East of the Prime Meridian and north of the equator. This does depend on your geographic coordinate system as the meridians etc can vary I initially displayed your points in WGS84 and the data appeared in Central Asia.

I've attached the correct version of your sample data (displayed in NAD83). Just replicate the minus and plus accordingly.

The data plots like the below when corrected:

I hope this helps!
