Hi everyone,

I'm a complete beginner to GIS data. I would appreciate if you could guide me on how to approach the problem I have.

I have daily rainfall data from 100 different metrological departments and their gps coordinates for 30 years. This is tabulated nicely in a csv file. I want to use this data to create daily estimates of rainfall for 76 different locations in the country. I can manually do this using the krigging tool in ArcGIS, but obviously this is not feasible. There are also a lot of missing values in the data.

I'm guessing its possible to code this as a loop in matlab, but i don't know how to do that. I do know STATA, but seems like that isn't very useful.

Would really appreciate some input on how to approach the problem. Thanks in advance!
