Maps disappearing when exporting to PDF

Hello geonetters I have a problem with exporting a map from arcmaps 10.2

the map is not exporting with map content as PDF ie it is blank - when I reduce resolution it works ok

I fear this is a virtual memory issue but can anyone confirm it this is correct?

I have not seen any problem like this till now but one problem that i have also suffered from, when i exported classified map, it showed the error unable to draw feature, then i changed the class symbol to another symbol & it worked.

Yes I can confirm I have battled with this one. Needed to reduce the DPI number to print out a PDF.
