I need help with creating a webmap on ArcGIS Online showing the first frost date for a set of populated places of a given year. In this case, I want to show the frost date for the fall season in a continuous time-interval (duration by months, interval by day), because they are different by geographical location.

Something similar to this

https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=b70d83ba89db4f8a97427ee237a1e60c

My .csv data consists of these attributes:

  • City (string)
  • State (string)
  • frost date fall (dd-mm-yyyy)
  • frost date spring (dd-mm-yyyy)

I don't have problem plotting the populated places onto the webmap.

But I have problem with configuring the time settings to make it works.

Which I can't troubleshoot

Hi Kitty,

In order to configure a time slider on a web map or in the time aware configurable app, you must enable time on a feature service. To do this with your own data, you will need to have an ArcGIS Server installation or you can publish a hosted feature service if you have an ArcGIS Online organizational account.

You can test this functionality out using a trial organization:

Evaluate ArcGIS Online for Organizations | ArcGIS Online

Thanks,

Kelly
