Raster Service display not loading in Time Aware App while linked in Story Map

I created a time aware raster mosaic in desktop, published it as an image service on a Forest Service server, made a web map, then made the Time Aware App. Up until this point, everything works. The time slider functions and the images roll through the display, as intended.

But my ultimate goal is to include the time aware animation in a Story Map, and when I link to the Time Aware App from my Story Map (using the app's URL), the app takes a long time to load. The time slider will run, but images do not appear.

I'm not sure if it matters, but the Story Map is in My Content in my Forest Service AGOL account, and within that, I linked to the Time Aware App, that is on an FS server.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Is your app public? If so can you share the link to the story map with the embedded time app.

Can you try running the app with the browser developer tools open and see if there are any errors listed in the developer console?  If you aren't familar with developer tools all browsers have them - here's info on how to open the tools for Chrome:

Here is a link to the story map: https://usfs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/TimeAware/index.html?appid=e4bc757f7f5c40fb82ec923d2fff37e4

I ran it with the developer tools and there are 3 errors and 38 warnings. Here is a screen shot of the warnings:

Thanks for any suggestions!

Looks like there are some mixed content issues with the map.  The issue is that your app is loaded over https but there is some map content that is via http.  The problem layer seems to be this one:

http://apps.fs.fed.us/arcx/rest/services/r01/r01_VMap_2016_Sampling_Progres…apServer?f=json&callback...

Try editing your web map that the time aware app is based on and replace the layer that was added via http with the same layer but using https:

https://apps.fs.fed.us/arcx/rest/services/r01/r01_VMap_2016_Sampling_Progression/MapServer?f=json&ca...

Additional details on how to find and fix mixed-content errors can be found here:
