Our organization is in the midst of developing a migration plan for bringing our parcels into the ArcGIS Pro parcel fabric and we have a number of control points we would like to associate with records. We currently have records that represent the legal survey because we maintain survey parcels in our parcel fabric, and we would like to be able to track which of these survey records the control point are associated with.
When attempting to use the Create Parcel Records tool, we noticed that it only works for polygons and lines. It would save us quite a bit of time to be able to use this tool against the points layer instead of the current method we have of:
• Creating a join between the point and the record based on the name of the survey (which is an attribute on the points layer)
• Running a field calculation to populate the CreatedByRecord based on the GlobalID of the joined record
• Removing the join
Being able to use a single tool to associate points to current records would decrease the number of manual steps required to migrate our parcel fabric and would allow for batch updating of points for organization who do not currently maintain points but would like to import control points from a separate layer.

hi @CatherineRoloson , I was curious if you've investigated using the Import Parcel Fabric Points tool to achieve what you need? https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/parcel/import-parcel-points.htm

It has a parameter that allows you to specify a record name (create new or add to pre-existing):

Hi @TimHodson

Thank you for your very quick response 🙂
Unfortunately Parcel Fabric Points tool doesn't help because it only allows you to specify a single record for all the points that are being brought in and the points we have all have different records that we need to associate them with (record names are currently stored in a field in the points layer).
