ArcGIS Pro 3.1.1

In the Catalog pane —> Database connection —> Properties —> Name:

The Name textbox appears to be an editable textbox.

However, in reality the textbox isn't editable.

That seems misleading.

Could that textbox be changed? For example, one of the following:

  1. Use the textbox to rename the database connection.
  2. Grey-out the textbox.
  3. Convert the text box to a label.

Edit: Regardless of what option Esri goes with, the text should still be copyable, since it's handy to copy the connection location.

I'm aware that I can rename the database connection directly in Catalog. That works. But I think the point is the properties Name textbox is somewhat unintuitive and could be improved.

Thanks.

Thanks for the idea @Bud  I can see how this idea would improve the connection properties pane.

We'll take a look at it.
