current situation:

We've got multiple rasters, some of them in an ArcSDE or in GDB. The no data values are not displayed - as it should be. When we export these rasters to a GeoTIFF, the no data values are turned to 1, which result in an ugly black border. In some tiff-files, the no data values can't be filtered, because there are also legitimate cells of these values in the raster (meaning: if we'd exclude all 1/1/1 cells from the tiff, we'd get holes in the raster). We face this issue especially with 8bit rasters (we do not want to convert them into 16bit, since that would take up too much disk space).

idea:

Add to the "export raster" tool the possibility to automatically add an alpha-band which is 0 for cells storing NoData values and 1 for cells storing values (so, the opposite of the "Is Null" tool - which could do with the option to inverse the result values: 0 for NoData, 1 for data).
