Idea: Populate Reference Scale from Field
The option to add a reference scale for features and text is great, but this feature could be made better by allowing the reference scale to be fulfilled by a field, similar to how you can in the Map Pages (DDP).
In map pages, you can scale each map according to a field in the attribute table. This can be helpful for the standardization of scales. However, if you have many different scales in a project, it is difficult to set up labels and symbology because of how different they look at large and small scales.
While this would have to be partenered with scale based symbology, allowing the reference scale to be filled by a field would simply the process for identifying where sizes of labels and symbology needs to be changed.
