When using time enabled data, you can Filter using a time attribute field, then set the time interval. There is an option to generate unique time interval from the data, that is, create step intervals that correspond to your data so that you can step through one feature at a time in sequential order. This is great for creating animations of data collection, without having to worry about gaps in time. However, there is a 1,000 unique interval limit. So if your data is over 1,000 rows, this option is completely unavailable.
I would love to remove this limit, perhaps replacing it with a warning if this is an arbitrary performance limitation. I would rather deal with that then have to have multiple layers using definition queries.
Perhaps there is a better way to accomplish this, but I'm wondering why this limit is in place anyways? Thanks!
