Reorder standalone tables in Contents alphabetically

The Reorder Layers functionality in the Catalog context menu only seems to work for spatial layers, not for standalone tables.

Clicking Standalone Tables > Reorder Layers > By Name has no effect.

• Python - Alphabetically sorting Tables in the Contents Pane

Could standalone table sorting functionality be added?

Side note: Could the options in that context menu be pared down to only show functionality that pertains to standalone tables? It seems like there's some stuff in there that's for spatial layers only.
