Running custom models created from ModelBuilder in ArcGIS Pro does not return the log messages for each step. Only a few simple messages are shown.

However, running the tool in the ModelBuilder pane (configuration mode) shows the details of each step such as which Geoprocessing tool is being run and how long the particular step takes.

It would be best for non-technical users to be able to see the detailed logs in the Geoprocessing pane so that they can see which step in the tool fails to run for ease of troubleshooting.

In this case, the logs show that the Buffer and Clip GP tools are being used.In this case, the logs show that the Buffer and Clip GP tools are being used.

Similarly, running the same ModelBuilder tool in ArcMap also shows the details of each step such as which Geoprocessing tool is being run and how long the particular step takes.

Running the same tool in ArcMap returns a much more robust log, which is beneficial to users.Running the same tool in ArcMap returns a much more robust log, which is beneficial to users.

I would imagine if ESRI implements this then it would be an option you tick on/off in the options dialog, much like being able to turn off the annoying group outputs.

Not sure if I should make this into a separate idea or not but it is very much related to this.

Please bring back a clear and noticable Close button when a model is done and make the line with Succeeded or Failed in the log jump out so the status is clear.

As with most colours and icons in Pro, the log looks washed out and is not very clear to read. Making at least the important parts easy to see would be a big improvement.

As for the option to check/uncheck a detailed log, how about a checkmark like in the Arcmap model where you can toggle the details on or off? When they're off you should still be able to see if it's running or not ofcourse.
