As a Branch Versioning user, you cannot edit database layers directly.Edits must be done through the feature server. Then after sharing the layer to portal you have to re add it to your map or update the existing layers source. This is tedious imo.
In order to improve this workflow for Branch versioning users.
I think Arcpro should include the option to update the specified map layer source automatically with the newly created web layer.
