Can't render Scenes (3D) in Jupyter notebook run in VSCode

Hi,

I'm trying to use Scenes (3D) in a Juptyer notebook running on VSCode. The take I'm running is taken directly from the Scenes (3D) documentation. When I run the notebook, I imagine there's supposed to be some interactive render of the scene, but instead, all I see is a white rectangle. No error message or anything like that. Am I missing a package that allows the scene to be rendered? I've tried installing the nodejs python package, as well as ipywidgets but neither helped.
