Hi, I have a point-layer in the model builder and I want to use a tool that finds the max number in a specific column of that layer. Is there any tool does that for me please?

Thanks

Hi Ismaeel,

You can achieve this using the Summary Statistics tool:

Summary Statistics—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

Thank you Jake, I do not know why it does not accept the name of the column in "Statistics field". Do you have an example for it please? Do I need to be familiar with Python? hopefully not.

The interface will indicate an error (red 'x' circle) until you select a statistic type. I get annoyed by this every time I use the tool.

So how do you fix it Darren?

You need to select a statistics type, next to the field name.

Got it, thank you Darren.

Can you post a screen shot of how you have the tool setup?
