Hello,

I am looking for tips on a georeferencing workflow. Sorry if this has been posted/asked elsewhere.

- I have downloaded several .jpg images from an aerial imagery archive. The Images are not georeferenced but a Center Point coordinate of each individual image is given in the catalog description of each image.

I am not sure how to use this Center Point as a control point to georeference the image. I can guess where the centroid of the raster is and georeference that to the right lat/long but surely there is a better way?

I have not found a way to find the centroid of a raster and even if i could, how would i use that point to georeference the raster without altering the raster itself?

Sure there is a way to do this, but have not found the Needle in this Haystack yet.

Thanks,

Dave

You will need something to georefence to (eg. another image, featureclass or know points)

Workflow options and discussion can be found in the help topic links
