Polygon to raster conversion - artefacts in output raster

I'm attempting to convert a polygon feature class (which was originally derived from a raster), back to raster format using the 'Feature to Raster' tool.  However, the output raster contains strange artefacts where strips of cells are missing compared to the vector features.

Parameters use a 'value' field which has been set to 1 for all features, an output cell size of 0.5m and to snap to another raster dataset (all other environment variables are the default).  Output is within a feature geodatabase.

See examples highlighted in the screen shot below - vector layer is in pink (bottom layer), output raster is in black (top layer).  Note the pink strips which are visible where the raster is missing.  Close up of the red example in further screen shots.

I have tried using both the 'Feature to raster' and 'Polygon to Raster' tools, and get the same result.

Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately I don't have the original raster format (it was undertaken by an external contractor).

Perhaps try running the Check (or Repair) Geometry tool.
