Where do Candidates Come from? What does TIED Mean? How do Filters Get Applied?

I have two questions.

Question 1:  Why doesn't the condition on the list get applied, to show records with Status='T'?

Question 2: Where do the tied candidates come from?

2024-04-24_17-34-19.png2024-04-24_17-46-54.pngI have a list of addresses, which are added to a map and geocoded.  The geocoded addresses have a column named STATUS.  The values of status are

M = Address is geo_coded

U = address is not geo_coded

T = Tied

Upon further review, I read that tied means there are two or more candidates for matching the address to geocode.  Where do the candidates come from?  What are tied?

UPDATE:  63 views no responses.  I guess this was a trick question.  Hummmmmmmmm

There is a selection on your map.

Your screen grab truncated part of your table and perhaps if you only want to view the selected records, you could look at the bottom left of your table

@MillieBuckner The tied candidates are coming from the locator. If you want to view what the tied candidates are for the specific address you need to use the Review Addresses pane, which will have a Tied tab showing you all of the matched addresses that had multiple candidates with the same score. The locator arbitrarily picks which candidate of the tied with the same score it will match to.
