hi,
i am currently creating grid cells in the size of 200m x 200m.
i am using the et geowizard plugin. i have to enter the extent of the cell sizes for x and y, where i type 0,002 for both. this seems to be a bit more then 200 m (205-2010 m), does anyone know how i can calculate the exact number?
also another way of creating vector grid cells might help.
thank you!!

Are you doing this in a dataframe set to a projected coordinate system (eg. UTM)?

That is why you can't make a 200m x 200m grid, it only makes sense with a projected coordinate system, so you will have to do the procedure in a projected data frame

Try the Create Fishnet tool, specify Cell width and Cell height.
