Hi,
I would like to interpolate irregularly placed points representing the height of a surface (actually it is a geological surface underground, but the same should apply to terrain). However, my point data comes from 2 different sources that do not have the same confidence levels.
- The first group are more or less exact measurements of the height of this surface (in boreholes) having a very low error level. Hence, my calculated surface should honor these points more or less exactly.
- The second group of points comes from estimations and have significantly higher and variable error levels (increasing with depth actually). Of cours, points of this group would not have to be honored as precisely.
In the interpolation process, I would like to give a different weight to these 2 groups of points.
How would I do this?
