Basemap Thumbnails Disappearing After Editing App

I'm using Web Appbuilder Dev Ed v2.2, and am having an issue with the basemap thumbnails disappearing from \server\apps\*\configs\BasemapGallery whenever I edit and save an app.  I am using custom basemap selections from a Group because I only want a few.  Copying and pasting the thumbnails is getting a bit frustrating, and I'm sure this is not intended behavior. 

I did not encounter this issue with prior versions of the Web Appbuilder.

Has anyone else come across this and found a solution?

Hi Brian, 

Just wondering if this is still happening to you, I am on WAB Dev 2.25 ... and it has been happening to me for about a year. So frustrating. I have to replace the thumbnail images almost every time I go to edit or make changes to my app. 

Any updates? or solutions?
