Customize Find Tool to default to specific layer?

I'm using VB.Net to create an ArcEngine application in ArcGIS 10.0 SP 4. I've put the ArcMap Find tool on the ArcGIS 10.0 Engine Toolbar Control. Is it possible to customize the Find tool to default to finding features in a specific layer? It defaults to <Visible layers>. I'd like the In: drop down to default to a layer I specify in code.
