ArcPad 10 filter not working - syntax?

Trying to use Filter in ArcPad, but it is NOT WORKING!!!??  sorry little frustrated.  Syntax I am using is below, could not find much in the help, but found basic info on ArcPad Team Blog - "How to use SQL for working with data in ArcPad �?? Part One, Select" ...

My Syntax:
WORKORDER = 'COMnone'


This is basic stuff, I have no idea what problem is.  Any suggestions.  This is ArcPad 10 SP1 on a Yuma Tablet PC.  Anyone else have similar issue???

Hi Mike,

How are you trying to use the filter? in a script to filter records or in the layer properties filter tab?

Can you provide any more information and we can go from there.
