We are occasionally experiencing an odd phenomena wherein we have checked out data, we are adding new data, and when we go to check the new data in, some of it has the EXACT same geometry as the checked out data features. This has happened with points, polylines & polygons. The attributes remain different (as they should), but somehow one or two of the new features have been given the exact same geometries as one of the previously existing features. (I think this may be similar to an older post which was apparently never resolved: http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/35756-GPS-points-move-to-one-location-when-ArcPad-is-closed.)
Can anyone advise as to either by what mechanism this may be happening, and/or how to avoid it?
