2 older Trimble GeoXH 2008 series units that are running the latest version of ArcPad.
We need at least a 7 megapixel camera to wireless connect to the Trimble unit; which is running Windows Mobile 6.1.
We have tried for 5+ years now with Trimble TrimPix wifi solution and I'm sick of the "hopefully it connects today" workflow.
Current cameras are Nikon Coolpix P1.
1. what new digital cameras are compatible with WinMobile 6+ and ArcPad? Are there specific features of new cameras I should look for with regard to compatibility?
2. Can you connect a newer digital camera to the trimble using Bluetooth?
3. what about using wifi?
If anyone could explain their working setup, and specific hardware, I'd really appreciate it.
