I'm publishing a map that contains a raster layer using ArcGIS Publisher and the Data folder produced is almost 30GB in size (compare this to the published map, which is 5MB, and the original .mxd, which is only 11MB).
If I try to create a compressed gdb during packaging, the process stops due to 'an unexpected error'. So far I've been unable to compress the resulting data folder as well.
I've published these data before without this being a problem, but not using ArcGIS 10.0.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? Any thoughts on what's causing the data package to balloon like this? I'd appreciate any advice/
