ArcSDE Event ID 105

My ArcGIS Server Event Viewer is indicating an entry for my ArcSDE service but when I got to display the message the general detail shows:

The description for Event ID 105 from source esri_sde cannot be found.  Either the component that raises the event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. 

The event viewer shutdown when trying to view the message.

I had rebooted the server and the service did not start but it started when I manually enabled it.  Trying to check the event viewer to see what it had reported as a problem.  The service came up and currently appears to be running ok.

Any suggestions to resolve the error

I doubt ArcSDE is capable of generating that error, but Windows is:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/254525

Is your application server accessing a remote database instance?

Everything is local to this server:  ArcGIS Server, SQL Server, and ArcSDE.
