Cannot create Feature Class

Hello,

I just created a new feature dataset within a personal geodatabase. I also created a feature class within the dataset. I tried to add another feature class, and it gave me the error: 'Cannot create a feature class..because the feature dataset is in use by another application/user' and Identifies MY machine as the user!??!??!!!?!
I can't delete the dataset or FC I created or paste a new FC to the dataset.

What's really bizzare is that I can create a new FC within the geodatabase ok, but NOT within the feature dataset! I've shut down/restarted etc, confirmed that no other users are in the GDB etc.

Does anyone have any ideas????

Sounds like you have a hung lock file.  Close out all ArcGIS applications.  You might get it with a reboot or go into the directory where the mdb resides and delete the lock file.
