I'm hoping someone can help me with why the "created_user" column in my feature service is not being populated when external users are adding points to the layer. I'm using ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 and AGS 10.1. My feature service is NOT secured, but my web application is through IIS using basic/windows authentication. Users who log into the site are users on the local server account. The enterprise geodatabase where the data resides is registered with the server account. Any ideas?

Thanks

The service must be secured in order for users to be logged. Otherwise the service does not know who is making the edits. If the service is not secured, an empty string is set as the editor or creator which means anonymous user. Anyone can edit an anonymous users data. More info at the following link.
