Hello, this has been posted in the ArcHydro forum as well.
I am creating Flow accumulation grids in ArcHydro.
Some of them are turning out to have a pixel type of signed integer, and work perfectly for watershed delineation.
Others, however, have a pixel type of floating point.  These return an "overflow" error when I try to run ArcHydro's Stream Definition tool.
From what I have read, floating point contains higher values than can fit in an integer.  I thought that by reducing the size of the original flow direction grid, that the resulting flow accumulation grid would have lower values.  But this is not happening.  I actually found a subset of my flow direction grid produced higher flow accumulation values, not lower.
Could there be something else that is causing my flow accumulation grids to have a pixel type of floating point rather than signed integer??
Thank you!

I converted the floating point grids to integer using raster calculator, and now they work.
