Hello,
I have a map and I have a picture let's say a contour map that I have overlayed onto this map.
Now this is a raster image with a few contours on it. Is there any tool that can convert the contours into shape files/extract it and help me to get lat-lon values for it?
From what I found the way some people do it is by using a shape file and then manually drawing shapes - lines/arcs etc on it.
Is there a more automated approach possible? Doesn't need to be an ArcGIS dependent tool.
