Hi All

Non-Administrator tutor here, trying to import a feature class to a File Geodatabase Feature Dataset within ArcCatalog, but getting an annoying and uninformative error every single time.

We're using ArcGIS 10.0, and just created a new geodatabase from scratch. It is the same coordinate system as that of the data - NZGD 2000 New Zealand Transverse Mercator.

When I go to import the data, it comes up with the error message:

ERROR 999999: Error executing function
The table name is invalid
A locator with this name does not exist
Failed to execute (FeatureClassToFeatureClass)

Anybody have some ideas as to how I can work around these problems?

Thanks

Hi Adrian,

What is the name you are specifying when you attempt to import the feature class?

Hi Adrian,
I was wondering if you found a solution to this issue. I am having the same problem (same error, same coordinate system).
Have you been able to find a workaround?
Thanks

Thomas,

Would it be possible for you to attach a schema only copy of the feature class with instructions to replicate this behavior so we could take a look?

Thanks,

Jon
