I can share a workgroup SDE geodatabase v 10.1 on a windows workgroup Server 2008 / win 7(clients) Desktop 10.1 ,
or should be through windows domain. ??
The connection from catalog (Add Database Server ) can only be done by windows authentication and not database authentication ??
