Spatial join

I have a layer of maize farms this season, and another layer of farms containing the data from last two season,

What i want is to know which features from the last two season layer are overlapping with this season layer.

I have tried spatial join tool but the output attribute was not convincing, I want the output to be something like the example below;

if your data are already joined, did you look at

....summarizing-data-in-a-table...

and

...summary-statistics...

you could also look at the other overlays tools like ...union ... if you also want to see the form of the comparisons. 

This can also be done in raster world using the ...combine tool ... but it would be nice to see your table formats prior to making further suggestions
