I am using ArcGIS 10, sp5
I have a a point feature class in a feature dataset in ArcSDE and a table in the same database that are in a composite relationship. Point > Table = One > Many.
I am testing the theory that a point cannot exist without the table having a related record (both of my keys are set correctly.) When I start an edit session, select the point that I know breaks this rule, and click "Validate Features" I get the generic message of "ArcMap has stopped working - Please close the program." This is non-recoverable.
I have access to ArcGIS 9.3.1 and I followed the exact same steps and this worked with no problems and provided me with the expectedvalidation error message!
Has anyone else come across this behaviour and if so, am I doing something wrong in v.10 or is this a known problem?
