Hello Electric Community!!

While working through the migration to UN for our electric system got to the Staging the Asset Package to the Utility Network in an empty file geodatabase ran into a problem.  All the data appeared to migrate into the Utility Network, however, when viewing the contents to see the results there were no feature classes for Electric Device or Electric Line.  Additionally, no error messages were generated during the process either.

1.  How would one determine what wasn't correct in the Device and Line feature classes in order for those sets of data to be staged properly?

2.  Why no error message if they have problems?

3.  What, if any, suggestions does anyone have to determine what went haywire?

We have been running our migration using ArcGIS Pro 3.2.1 and UN version 6.

Kind Regards,

Darrin

Can you share the logs from the tool? Did you just stage the utility network, or did you also apply the asset package? If your asset package didn't pass validation the tools will usually throw an error and not load data into the asset package, although there will still be some basic schema in the database.

For deep diving into issues, you can start to look at the logs, scripts, and files in the AP_Workspace folder that is generated every time you apply an asset package. The first 19 minutes of this presentation from IMGIS describe the asset package tools, with the last half of that focusing on some of the more technical pieces like the AP_Workspace.

Robert,

The link to the IMGIS presentations was left out of your reply.  When you get a minute would you provide the link?
