ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript Associate 2024

The purpose of this article is to notify the reader of unique details specific to this exam version. This exam is currently ‘In-Development’, and the operational exam is expected to be published on 24 October 2024.

Expected Exam Version Enhancements

• Update exam name and certification to reflect software name
• Re-evaluate the expertise recommendation and re-classify within the Associate Level
• Define the target audience to include the recommended role definition
• Create an enhanced score report to provide section level performance pass/fail ratings
• Review all sections and objectives to ensure they properly align with the latest software version
• Grow the exam content to support 65-questions and 4-sections

What happens when a new exam version is created?

• When a new exam version is created, it is issued key exam preparation resources: an Exam Details Page in Esri Academy Catalog, an Exam Information Guide (EIG), a Learning Plan, and an Esri Community Article
• Exam development participation opportunities are available for candidates

• View the Exam Information Guide to see detailed exam information and determine if you meet the definition of a “qualified candidate”
• To prepare for the exam, interested candidates can ‘Wish List’ and 'Enroll' in the learning plan.
• Interested candidates can ‘Wish List’ the exam to plan to take it when beta testing opens, or when the exam is operational

  • A blueprint survey opens first for candidates to provide ratings on an exam’s objectives and sections to support the development of the exam blueprint. The blueprint survey for this exam opens 24 April – 15 May 2024
  • A beta exam window opens for candidates to register and be the first to take and achieve a new certification while providing critical feedback for the exam development process. The beta exam registration opens May 18th, with the beta exam testing/appointment window opening 18 July – 08 August 2024
