Webinar Resources: Geospatial Data Science at Scale

This week we presented a Data Science Connect webinar with our partners at Amazon Web Services (AWS) to discuss integrating ArcGIS GeoAnalytics Engine within the AWS EMR environment to enable performing geospatial data science at scale.  GeoAnalytics Engine on Amazon EMR allows users to unlock massive parallel analysis capabilities to drive their spatial analytics workflows using more than 160 spatial functions and tools that can work directly on data from an Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) data lake.

GeoAnalytics Engine on AWS EMR can be easily deployed and set up in your cluster to power your spatial workflows.  In the webinar, we introduced AWS EMR and GeoAnalytics Engine and the value add of combining the two technologies. We also demonstrated an application for rideshare modeling and prediction using Geographic Weighted Regression (GWR) and other ML models.
