What do you need to be successful?
  • 3-7 years of Enterprise Solutions sales experience
  • GIS, Engineering, or Computer Science degree, preferred
  • Gas, Water, Electric utility experience and experience working with a team on RFP’s and Statement of Work, preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Hunter mentality. At home cold-calling and opening new doors
  • Self-starter. Motivated individual, hungry for success

  • Hiring Salary Range:  Base Salary of $100,000-110,000, plus Commission (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data).

Position Alignment
What you can offer us:
 
1.  Sales Core Function - (60%)
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to establish and execute on mutually agreed sales goals
  • Cover the entire portfolio focused on our enterprise solutions including HW, SW and Services
  • Develop sales plan for key accounts for both short term and long-term growth
  • Be a “hunter” by aggressively looking for new business opportunities and acting as a customer advocate
  • Meet, but strive to exceed your annual quota
  • Build/leverage strong customer/industry relationships
  • Be opportunistic in identifying prospects for solutions adjacent to the Enterprise portfolio and collaborate with the appropriate sales team to deliver on those
  • Think creatively, strategically, and proactively to quickly adapt when market, business, or other shifts occur
  • Position may be required to travel up to 50%+ of the time visiting clients.  When physical travel is not possible, positively connect with clients via technology to ensure enduring business partnerships
  1. Corporate Presence – (15%)
  • Provide customer/market feedback to influence product development and services
  • Be creative to find new routes to market
  • Be a key contributor to our trade show strategy for your territory/industry vertical/account base and drive customer engagement and participation
  • Understand, embrace, and live our values
  • Be a brand, company and team enthusiast when interacting with customers and other stakeholders
  • Visit HQ in Austin as required (if based elsewhere)
  1. Administrative Function – (10%)
  • Enthusiastically embrace and manage the administrative duties that are naturally part of the job
  • Master Salesforce to help drive your success ensuring it is accurate and up to date. Use it to report on your metrics and for forecasting your region / delivery unit
  • Write trip reports and document your sales communication activities in Salesforce
  • Continually collaborate and communicate with delivery teams to effectively transition all booked scopes of work from sales to operations
  1. Sales Strategy – (10%)
  • Agree on attainable yet challenging KPIs with your manager and measure progress weekly
  • Leverage the virtual team and resources available at your disposal to ensure the customer’s and your success
  • Follow up on every lead received
  • Attend relevant trade shows as required
  • Demonstrate ability to create and apply a sales strategy to achieve short, mid-term and long-term goals
  • Mine and forecast for opportunities within the account based on our existing solution of roadmap
  1. Professional Development – (5%)
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to familiarize yourself with the rest of AI’s portfolio, so you can identify other opportunities
  • Make it a priority to understand the corrosion and cathodic protection industry (if not familiar already) especially with data analysis, modeling, and strategic decision needs of the customer
  • 121 Process: Write and maintain your user manual, and identify development needs and goals with your manager
  • Own your skill development plan
