The GIS Analyst position provides support to Fort Rucker, AL. The candidate will manage SRP/ITAM GIS data for the Army. This will include updating and editing the data as needed. The Candidate will conduct fieldwork to ground truth data and support other SRP functions. This may require working in inclement weather such as heat and humidity, or cold and rain. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring the GIS data meets all data standards outlined by the Army.

LOCATION
Fort Rucker, located near Dothan, Alabama, is home to the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence and serves as headquarters for Army Aviation. At approximately 63,000 acres, Ft. Rucker covers rolling forested countryside with wiregrass ground cover. Fort Rucker and Dothan are approximately 90 minutes from many destination beaches on the Northern Gulf of Mexico, such as Panama City, FL.
