I think it would be highly useful if an elevation layer prepared in Pro could be shared as a web layer and subsequently overwritten if required. My global organisation would benefit greatly from this functionality.
Currently sharing the elevation surface from a mosaic dataset (referenced UNC path) will share a web layer, and updates to the mosaic won't be reflected in the web layer.
Even better would be if this could be shared as an 'Elevation Service'.
