I'm using Arc 10 and want to know how to upload tiles and a dataset (polygons). Anyone still familiar with this!?
Could you give more details preferably with the snapshots of the data?
What platform are you using (ArcMap/Pro/Server/Online)? Where you are trying to upload?
By Tiles, do you mean Cached services in ArcGIS Server/Online or just Raster Data?
And by Dataset, do you mean Feature Dataset containing multiple Feature Classes (stored in a Geodatabase)?
Hi, thanks for your reply - I am trying to upload Ordnance Survey tiles raster data (1;25,000 coverage of part of the UK) on a computer operating on Windows 7. The dataset is polygons created to outline sites (I'm afraid I don't know whether this a feature dataset but presume all the sites together form a geodatabse).
Do you mean you need to add raster data .... The add data button can be used to add all kinds of data
Yes I understand that - it's the process of creating folders I'm more
concerned about - how is it applied?

If you are working with 10.0, you might want to start with ArcGIS Desktop - Raster data organization
It's not clear whether you are trying to create folders in ArcMap, the file GDB, or trying to create a Raster catalog, but the info there might help you clarify what you need.
Hi,
I've managed to upload the tiles (raster data) and the dataset (polygons
with attributes). However the scale box is disabled and I can't activate
it. The data frame is not set to a fixed extent or scale.
Any suggestions?

Looks to me like you don't have the rasters georeferenced, that is, it may just see it a lower/left being 0,0 and in inches. You will need to get them to know where they are in the work. Depending on the data itself, it may be in a file that came with the data but with 10.0, maybe it needs to be read in some how.

Look thru that part of the help docs.
Hi, I'm afraid the help doesn't really help me - I don't understand what I
do with it and it looks as if I'd really know how to write my own code to
implement it - and I can't.
What I do know is that the data have is provided as tif and tfw files.
When add the data it is saved it comes up as tif, tfw, xml and ovr files.
But it doesn't seem these are working.
