Activating Maplex

Hi,

I have maplex installed on concurrent licenses (Arc 10.0); however, when I go to turn on the extension in arcmap, maplex is not an option. I am not sure how to enable maplex and make it available within arcmap.

Is there a step I might have missed during the install or is there another step I need to do in order to activate it within arcmap?

Follow the below steps and see if that resolves your problem:
1) Insert the ArcGIS Desktop install media into you DVD/CD drive.
2) Go to Start/Control Panel/Add\Remove Programs
3) Click Change on ArcGIS Desktop. After the space requirement computation, you will have a new window with three options
   Modify/Repair/Remove.
4) Choose Modify and click Next.
5) Then on the next window, expand the extensions folder so that you can see all the extensions.
6) Find the maplex extension and click on the dropdown arrow.
7) Select the option  "Entire feature will be installed on the local hard drive"
😎 Click Next, Next and let the installation complete, then open ArcMap/Tools/Extensions
9) Make sure that maplex has a check on the checkbox next to it.
