We have a project that will require the use of ArcGIS for military and we are deciding whether to use WEB (JS API) or Desktop (Runtime SDK). The project requirements include using military functionalities such as units conversions and line of sight, but more importantly, it requires to view and edit military symbols.
We have two unknowns at hand that we are unable to answer, and upon which the verdict will be based:
1- During our research, we have seen some blogs that are complaining about issues with displaying military symbols using ESRI JS API, but we couldn't find official documentation that confirms the existence of such issues. Is Military symbols and styles supported on web or not ?
2- The project will run on Microsoft Surface Hub 84" device with Windows 10 Team Operating System. Are there any special considerations when developing ArcGIS Runtime apps for such type of device? Are there any compatibility issues?
