Hi,

I am trying to join a table to a feature class. When I browse for the sde table or .dbf it does not show as the data type drop down only lists 'data elements'

I have tried making a table view, joining, then copying rows but that only exports to another table and I need it to be a spatial feature class.

I can join a table to a feature class fine in ArcMap but cannot see an option in model builder

Any help - most appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

Try using the 'Add Join' tool, where you can specify the feature class, table, and the join fields.

Mark,

Have you tried the Copy Features tool? You can find the tool in ArcToolbox > Data Management Tools >  Features

Make the new Feature first, then add new fields to this table, join your table to this new feature class table (you may need to make table views and/or add attribute indexes to get it to work without error messages) and then calculate the values from your joined table fields to the table fields on your new feature.

I hope this works for you

Peter
