We need to fly over multiple small plots and I know someone can use UGSC to do this job efficiently with only 13 photos taken on each plot, 1 battery (25 min). Photos on each plot then stitched together to create ortho img for each plot.

We have access to SiteScan flight planner and hope that it will have this feature soon.

Thanks,

Lan

Hi Lan,

We plan to offer the ability to "Daisy-Chain" missions in the Site Scan Flight app, which will allow you to plan individual mapping missions, and perform them in one flight (battery permitting).

Would this achieve your needs?

Hi Nico,

That is the one we need, chaining all small flight plans together and flight. After inspecting the UGCS, I think that function is very useful for us in forestry. We need to move from traditional plotting to drone plotting. Early 2022 is still 6mth... However, we have already subscribed  to SiteScan, we need to wait 🙂

Thanks,

Lan

Thank Nico for the update!

Wonder when will we have the Beta to try?

And also the function to fly with our own DEM? the general SRTM DEM is not that good in many locations we operate.

Kind regards,

LN

In the context of Daisy Chaining Flight - The Pano flights, in particular, are typically short-duration flights and this feature would save us considerable time if we have multiple Panos to capture on a flight.

LarryLaxdal

I agree, @BradNorth, that would be a great time saver!

Is there any update on when this feature will become available? Similar to Nico, we have a use case for having our drone capture imagery at numerous small plots in a single flight. Currently, being limited to one polygon per flight wastes valuable battery time returning home between every plot. If batch flights (or daisy chaining) is proving difficult for the developers, allowing multiple polygons when planning an area or crosshatch flight could be another approach we could work with.

I am looking to see if the capability of daisy chaining ArcGIS Site Scan Panorama Flight flight plans currently exists and if not is it of interest to anyone.

Hi @NicoBonnafoux ,

Are you able to share any timing on release of this feature?  It has been in product plan for nearly a year now.

Thank you.

BradNorth

Similar to @GregoryEnglishAAAE I am curious when this feature is going to become available.
