I created a project (.mxd) with 25 elevation layers and then created a WMS service out of it via ArcCatalog. I attached my SLD that has 25 named layers with 6 user styles each. The user styles are the same for each named layer so I am essentially repeating this section of xml code 25 times. Is there anyway to create one "default" named layer for all of my layers on my project file? Currently, I just name them from 1 through 25 in the <sld:Name> element tag.
Currently no, so you probably have to repeat the xml code as many times as the number of your layers. But it's a good idea to import such default named layer mechanism, we will keep this in mind.
