Problems with Map Display - Order Symbology

Hi,

I have text-type value in one field of the orders and would like to categorically symbolize my orders according to that value. However, if I choose a symbol and the right field and the value for that and click okay, nothing changes on the map. When I open the Map Display window anew, the value has changed into some "small" number, like 4,243996673248E-314.

We've been able to reproduce this problem here at ESRI.  It definitely looks like a bug and we'll try to get this fixed for the upcoming ArcLogistics 9.3 service pack 2.  Thanks for reporting this!
