See attached instructions to set the registry on your machine when:

  1. You wish to copy & paste more then 1,000 lines into construction

  2. You wish to prevent merge courses from running before Build

Thanks for posting this. Came across this problem today finally.

ArcGIS 10.3 exposes the option to merge courses on build (off by default). The registry key is no longer needed.

Amir,

I can't find any additional information on this.  Would you please explain where to find this option?

[Edit: I'm using 10.3.1]

Hello Nate,

From the parcel editor toolbar drop down click 'Options'.

Under the advanced tab you can change the 'Build parcels behavior' to 'Merge connected lines at points where there is no bend'

Got it - thanks!

Is there a similar option when loading parcels using arcpy.LoadTopologyToParcelFabric_fabric?

There is no such option in the topology loading tool.

You can use other GP tools prior to loading the data (on simple feature classes) or use the interactive tool  'Merge Courses' that works on selected parcels

Amir,

Do you know of a GP tool that will operate on polygons and simplify only their straight (non-curve) courses?  We've looked at the curves & lines add in, but we have intentional overlapping polygons in our existing data and don't want to clean them up after generating polygons from lines and points.  Having the option to merge courses during data loading would be of great help in this situation.
