In preperation for moving to arcgis server 10.1, we are getting all of our imagery into raster mosaics.  Mosaics that were created by importing old ISDef files are working fine.  However mosaics created by importing
the raster files are not.  After creating a mosaic from files, all i get at full extent is the wire frame.  I have to zoom in to specific tiles to see the imagery.

How do I set these up to show imagery at all extents?

Hi Scott,

Greetings!

In order to view the mosaic dataset at all zoom levels you have to built overviews.

Please go through the online documentation on mosaic dataset overviews.

Hope this helps.

Have a good day!

I rebuilt the dataset and reimported the rasters, checking the box for creating overviews, but I'm still just getting the wire frame. I am also getting error 80042019.

As a secondary issue, what happened to the error look up link from 9.3?

Hi

Have been experiencing similar problem,  suspect it might be locking issue but will finish testings.

Couple of quick checks that you can do.
Do you have the mosaic dataset open in arcmap? - can check for any locks using the administration tool on the database (right click on db)
Have you published the mosaic - if so then stop the service when building the overviews.
